Chrome Industries has always been the solution for hardworking bike messengers, but we set out to elevate the brand in culture by reflecting the bigger shared identity of its community. Living at the intersection of movement and creative self-expression, it was time for the brand and its visual identity to reflect this progression. We were inspired by the energy of the city to stay in motion and carried this theme throughout our design system — from color to photography to typography. We created a brand world that appealed to a wider audience while staying true to their heritage.

Chrome Industries' identity
is based around three foundational design principles: movement, exploration, and vibrancy. The photography subjects are always in action and this is emphasized in layout by the motion blurred border of the city. The movement in photography breaks the frame to suggest exploration as well as added design elements like city maps and textures. The color palette and dynamic typography bring energy and vibrancy. Together, these choices create a memorable, distinctive brand world.
