Strategic Firepower

We are pleased to announce that Michael Davidson has joined VB&P as Head of Strategy. Davidson comes to VB&P from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he spent two stints – his first working on The Wall Street Journal and Haagen-Dazs and most recently as Group Strategy Director leading Sprint’s “Now Network” and “All Together Now” campaigns. He also helped Goodby pitch and create Xfinity’s “Future of Awesome” platform. Prior to Goodby, Davidson spent a collective six years at AMV.BBDO leading marketing for British Telecom, shaping Guinness’ highly acclaimed “Good Things Come to Those Who Wait” campaign, and worked alongside now VB&P Managing Director, Paul Birks-Hay. He also spent time at TBWA\London, helping craft the Labour party’s re-election strategy, running their focus group program (reporting directly to Tony Blair) and developing the “If you value it, vote for it” campaign.

Joining Davidson in the strategy department is Group Strategy Director Leander Chapman. “Chappy,” as he is known, joins VB&P after running his own boutique strategy consultancy Crosscut Advisory Partners, where he created a strategic business methodology correlating business and consumer culture. Prior to that, he was a Strategy Director for Translation and has led planning for Grey, M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO, after starting his career at BBH authoring strategies for Altoids, Burger King, Citibank, Converse, Diageo, Guinness, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, P&G, Pepsi, PUMA, Red Stripe, Wrigley’s and many others.
