Client Financial Accountant

The Client Financial Accountant is responsible for billing clients, collecting revenue, developing and monitoring client budgets, running various client specific financial reports and managing client and internal relationships. This position needs to have a thorough understanding of GAAP accounting and the ability to create reports as needed relating to the financial health of the company and with at least 3 years experience.

The Role

  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording client financial data (A/R, budgets, and financial reporting)
  • Prepare and send out client bills and invoices
  • Keep track and process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve client financial issues
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing budgets and accounts receivable status, including creating a client specific WIP report
  • Hold monthly financial meetings with the internal clients
  • Help account team to facilitate client meetings regarding financial matters
  • Cash Flow management and reporting
  • Support the accounting function as in relates the monthly close
  • Create and manage corporate policy concerning client financial matters

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in client side finance, preferably in an advertising agency or professional services company
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, collection regulations and GAAP
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Excel, Workamijig experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
